1. Private body and Information Officer
This page is made available for access-to-information purposes under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Private body: MyCoverMap. Address: South Africa. Information Officer: Information Officer. Email: privacy@mycovermap.co.za.
2. PAIA Guide
The Information Regulator publishes a guide explaining how to use PAIA and POPIA rights. It is available from the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
3. Categories of records
Depending on the activities of the operator, records may include corporate and governance records; financial and tax records; agreements with service providers and advisers; website and technology records; lead, enquiry and consent records; privacy and security records; marketing and campaign records; complaints and correspondence; and employment records where applicable.
Records published directly on this website, including the Privacy Notice, Terms, Cookie Notice, Financial Disclaimer and service information, are available without a formal PAIA request.
4. Records processed under other legislation
Records may be created or retained under legislation applicable to the operator and its activities, including POPIA, PAIA, the Companies Act, tax legislation, electronic communications and consumer-protection legislation, and—where regulated financial services are provided by a receiving adviser/FSP—the FAIS framework and other applicable financial-sector laws.
5. How to request access
Requests for records should use the prescribed PAIA Form 2 and provide enough detail to identify the record, the requester and the right being exercised or protected. Send the request to the Information Officer at privacy@mycovermap.co.za. Prescribed fees may apply where permitted by PAIA and the regulations.
Access may be refused only on a ground permitted by PAIA. Where a record contains information about another person, additional notice or protection requirements may apply.
6. Personal information
If your request is specifically about personal information held about you, you may also use the rights described in our Privacy & POPIA Notice, including access, correction, deletion and objection rights where applicable.
7. Complaints and remedies
If a PAIA request is refused or not answered as required, a complaint may be submitted to the Information Regulator using its prescribed process, including the eServices portal or PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za. Other remedies available under PAIA are not excluded.
